A Medical Healthcare Service Center, located in Austin, Texas now is requiring Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, working as Regular Full Time Employment inpatient facility.

Job Responsibilities of Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator:

  • Leadership and serves as a role model and resource person for clinical and staff pharmacists
  • Leads, analyzes and appraises clinical pharmacy services provided to patients, physicians and ancillary departments
  • Oversees safe and appropriate pharmaceutical care for patients
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures
  • Promotes and supports safe medication management
  • Shares the responsibility for formulatory review, drug use evaluation, therapeutic drug protocols, drug information and development and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services
  • Initiates, analyzes and reviews monthly and annual reports to determine compliance
  • Serves as a liaison to nursing and the medical staff
  • Maintains an active role as a member of the P&T Committee
  • Participates on multidisciplinary committees at the discretion of manager

Job Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy; Master's preferred
  2. Has current license within the state of practice
  3. Has five years hospital experience and demonstrated skills of a clinical pharmacist is required
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office, effective project management skills
  5. Residency training and board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties is preferred
