A Medical Healthcare Service Center, located in Austin, Texas now is requiring Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, working as Regular Full Time Employment inpatient facility.
Job Responsibilities of Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator:
- Leadership and serves as a role model and resource person for clinical and staff pharmacists
- Leads, analyzes and appraises clinical pharmacy services provided to patients, physicians and ancillary departments
- Oversees safe and appropriate pharmaceutical care for patients
- Develops and implements policies and procedures
- Promotes and supports safe medication management
- Shares the responsibility for formulatory review, drug use evaluation, therapeutic drug protocols, drug information and development and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services
- Initiates, analyzes and reviews monthly and annual reports to determine compliance
- Serves as a liaison to nursing and the medical staff
- Maintains an active role as a member of the P&T Committee
- Participates on multidisciplinary committees at the discretion of manager
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy; Master's preferred
- Has current license within the state of practice
- Has five years hospital experience and demonstrated skills of a clinical pharmacist is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, effective project management skills
- Residency training and board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties is preferred
